In some cases, older vehicles (built before 2014) may not have the necessary technology for the app and therefore cannot be added. If your vehicle was manufactured from 2014 onwards and an error occurs, log off from the app in the "More" tab on the "Profile" page and then log on again. Alternatively, you can try to add your vehicle via the BMW ConnectedDrive web portal (www.bmw-connecteddrive.com). If the error(s) persist, please go to the "About" page in the "More" tab of the app to find the contact information for your local support centre.

No, because BMW CarData is a free service from BMW ConnectedDrive. BMW CarData requires an active BMW ConnectedDrive contract. You do not need to book any other BMW ConnectedDrive Services in order to use CarData.

You need a BMW ConnectedDrive account. Your vehicle must be ConnectedDrive capable. For vehicles with a production date before 03/2013, you need SA 612 (BMW Assist). For vehicles with a production date from 03/2013, you need SA 6AK (ConnectedDrive Services).
