You can authorise any transfer via BMW CarData to a third party/ service provider only for a specific purpose. The third party/ service provider must state this purpose in the request to BMW. Yes. However, please note the different accuracy of the measurement in connection with the BMW i Wallbox Connect as well as regulatory or tax requirements. This data can be used for billing purposes; if necessary, observe regulatory requirements, e.g. with regard to tax issues.

Your email address is also your login name. You can assign the password personally. It can't be seen by a third party. If you have been using BMW ConnectedDrive for some time and have never logged into your BMW ConnectedDrive Customer Portal on the Internet, you can login with your old username or vehicle login and use the associated password. Then, you have to enter your email address and a password as new login data for the Customer Portal.

No. The BMW Accident Call also works without adding your vehicle to your BMW ConnectedDrive customer account. However, your service advisor will not be able to see any personal data without linking the customer account to the vehicle.

Login to the BMW ConnectedDrive Customer Portal on the Internet or to the BMW Connected App with your username and password. In the Customer Portal, select "Add vehicle" and confirm the last seven digits of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). In the BMW Connected App, select "Vehicle", "+" and confirm the last seven digits of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). You will then receive a security code in your vehicle. Confirm this security code in the BMW ConnectedDrive Customer Portal on the Internet or in the BMW Connected App.

In some cases, older vehicles (built before 2014) may not have the necessary technology for the app and therefore cannot be added. If your vehicle was manufactured from 2014 onwards and an error occurs, log off from the app in the "More" tab on the "Profile" page and then log on again. Alternatively, you can try to add your vehicle via the BMW ConnectedDrive web portal (www.bmw-connecteddrive.com). If the error(s) persist, please go to the "About" page in the "More" tab of the app to find the contact information for your local support centre.
