For the use of BMW Apps in the vehicle with an iPhone the BMW Connected App is not necessary. For the use of BMW Apps in the vehicle with an Android Smartphone the BMW Connected App must also be installed on the smartphone.
Log in to your BMW ConnectedDrive Account in the BMW Connected App and make sure that your vehicle is added to your account. Select the menu "Digital Key" to check the compatibility of your smartphone.
The Key Card is just like a hardware key. That means it can be replaced via the spare parts process at the dealership, e. g. when it was lost. However, it is not possible to order additional cards, i. e. having several cards active at the same time.
If you have access to your vehicle, you can revoke individual or all Digital Keys of the BMW ConnectedDrive Service Digital Key. If you no longer have access to the vehicle, you can contact ConnectedDrive Customer Service and they will remove your keys for you.
Check www.bmw.de/bluetooth to see if your smartphone is compatible with your vehicle. Before a repetition:
Delete the vehicle from the Bluetooth menu of your smartphone if it is already stored as a known device. Delete your smartphone in the vehicle under "Manage mobile devices" if it is already listed as a known device.

Yes. You can also connect your Apple iPhone directly from the menu "Settings" and "Bluetooth". To do this, select the vehicle ID of your BMW paired via Bluetooth and confirm the connection with "Use CarPlay".
