Under "Manage mobile devices", make sure that your smartphone has been successfully connected and that the "Apps" function is enabled for this device. The BMW Connected as well as selected apps tested by BMW, such as Spotify or TuneIn, can be started in the menu "Media/Radio", "Navigation" and "ConnectedDrive", depending on the function. Android users must have installed the BMW Connected App and started it on their smartphone in order to use apps in the vehicle.

We recommend the following procedure: If you use an Android smartphone, first check in the vehicle menu whether the [accessory mode] is activated under [ConnectedDrive] [BMW Apps] [connection assistant]. We also recommend unplugging and replugging the smartphone, terminating and restarting the BMW Connected App. In rare cases, a restart of the smartphone can also help. For Apple smartphones, restart by holding down the Home and Standby buttons simultaneously for at least ten seconds until the Apple logo appears. For Android smartphones, press the "Standby" key for a few seconds and select the option "Power off" followed by a restart.
