No. BMW has no influence on what third parties do with the telematics data. Should BMW discover that the telematics data is being used for a purpose other than that authorised by you, this would contradict the BMW CarData GTCs for third parties/ service providers. In this case, BMW reserves the right to block BMW CarData Services for the third party/ service provider.

Yes. You can search for a BMW Remote Software Upgrade in your vehicle at any time. To do this, select the menu "Car" --> "Settings" -->"General settings" --> "Remote Software Upgrade" in the vehicle.

The BMW Digital Key opens and starts BMW vehicles via a compatible smartphone. The BMW customer can activate this function for up to five additional persons. NFC technology The BMW Digital Key uses NFC technology (Near Field Communication) for communication between smartphone and vehicle. This international transmission standard works over distances of just a few centimetres, is considered very secure and is also used for payment transactions. BMW ConnectedDrive Comfort access required The BMW Digital Key currently works with selected Samsung Galaxy smartphones and the Android operating system 8.0 or higher. In order to use the BMW Digital Key, the customer requires the BMW option "Comfort Access" and a BMW ConnectedDrive Account connected to his vehicle.
