Under "Manage mobile devices", make sure that your smartphone has been successfully connected and that the "Phone" function is activated for this device. Incoming calls can now be received via the iDrive system. In the "Communication" menu, you can start an outgoing call via "Contacts", "Recent calls" or "Dial number". The audio output and the microphone of your BMW are used for the calls.

You can link up to three vehicles to a BMW i Wallbox Connect. The Wallbox identifies the different vehicles using its own identification chip ("RFID token"). The BMW Digital Charging Service uses this identification to control the charging processes and to create the charging history.

Yes. BMW determines and stores vehicle positions anonymously for traffic flow services (Floating CarData). The FCD service is performed to collect current information about road traffic on the existing navigation and ConnectedDrive platforms. Each ConnectedDrive-capable vehicle represents a "mobile traffic detector" (floating vehicle). The individual position and sensor data of these vehicles determined during the journey are transmitted together with the current time data to the BMW ConnectedDrive centre and the contractually agreed traffic service provider. The data will be processed completely anonymously after transmission. This is free of charge. Data transmission is also deactivated as soon as the SIM card installed in the vehicle is deactivated. The traffic information service including FCD can be deactivated in writing by the BMW Customer Service on request.
